Bommasandra Metro Station will be the last station on the upcoming 19.15-km yellow line of the Namma Metro Network. This station is currently under construction and is part of the first 16 stations in Phase 1. An elevated station in the South-East Corridor, it is near the Electronic City metro station. Expected to be operational by December 2024, the yellow line is about to start!

The yellow line will begin at Bommasandra Metro Station and will have two tracks operating from 5 am to 11 pm. The next station after Bommasandra will be Hebbagodi, followed by Huskuru Road and Electronic City. The line will have two interchange stations: Jayadeva Hospital for the pink line and RV Road for the green line.

Bommasandra Metro Station is close to industrial areas and even provides connectivity to the Anekal Industrial Area. Strategically it is located to connect the northern part of Electronic City, where major IT parks like Infosys, Bosch, and the Wipro Floating Learning Centre are situated. To the south, it connects to Attibele and Hosur, an industrial city in Tamil Nadu. Its location makes it a crucial spot for commercial real estate development.

In March 2024, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) made a deal with  Delta Electronics India Pvt Ltd. Because of this agreement, a metro station will be called ‘Delta Electronics-Bommasandra Metro Station’ for 30 years. Delta Electronics agreed to pay Rs 65 crore for these naming rights.

The fare for Bommasandra Metro Station is expected to be between Rs. 10 and Rs. 60. Facilities such as parking, feeder buses, and toilets are yet to be confirmed.
