The metro line’s extension from Madavara to Nagasandra reached a major milestone with a successful trial run conducted on August 6, 2024. After receiving the green light from the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) on October 4, 2024, the section officially opened to the public on November 7, 2024. A formal inauguration is planned for a later date, marking this expansion as a significant addition to the city’s growing metro network.

The Manjunath Nagar station enhances accessibility and supports the region’s development, making it easier for residents and commuters to travel efficiently within Bengaluru and beyond.

After a successful trial run on the Madavara-Nagasandra stretch on August 6, 2024, Madavara Metro Station opened to the public on November 6, 2024, with commercial services beginning on November 7, 2024. Although it initially opened without an official inauguration ceremony, a formal event is planned for a later date.
