Chennai Central Metro Station

Chennai Central Metro Station is an underground station on the Blue Line (Corridor 1) of Chennai Metro. It opened on 2019-02-10. It is one of Chennai Metro’s main interchanges — you can change between the Blue Line and the Green Line here, right under the Chennai Central railway station.

Chennai Central Metro Station — Line and Route

The Blue Line runs between Wimco Nagar Depot and Chennai International Airport. From Chennai Central, the previous station is High Court and the next station is Government Estate. On this line, trains run from about 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM (Sundays from about 5:00 AM), every 6 minutes in peak hours and 7 minutes off-peak. Chennai Central Metro Station Entry and Exit Gates

The station has 5 entry and exit points: Gate A — towards Park Town Railway Station; Gate A — towards Chennai Central Railway Station – MAS; Gate B — towards Park Railway Station; Gate B — towards Allikulam Court Complex (Moore Market); Gate B — towards Ripon Building.
