How is the Namma Metro Fare Calculated?
Bengaluru Metro (BMRCL) fares are calculated based on the distance travelled between your origin and destination station. The minimum fare is ₹10 for the first 2 kilometers, increasing gradually up to a maximum fare of ₹90.

Types of Metro Tickets
- Single Journey Token: Good for one-time travellers. Must be dropped into the exit gate.
- Smart Card / NCMC: Reloadable card that gives you a 5% discount on every journey. Essential for daily commuters.
- QR Tickets: Buy via WhatsApp or Namma Metro App. Scan your phone at the gates. You get the same 5% discount as Smart Cards.
- Group Tickets: For groups of 10 or more travelling together, issued at the ticket counter.
- One/Three Day Pass: Unlimited travel on the metro for 1 day (₹200) or 3 days (₹400), plus ₹50 refundable deposit.
