Namma Metro Pink Line Fares: Station-to-Station Fare Chart and What Your Ride Will Cost

A ride on the Namma Metro Pink Line will cost between ₹10 and ₹30 within the opening section, and ₹10 to ₹70 if you continue onto the Yellow Line at Jayadeva Hospital. This page has the full station-to-station fare chart for all six opening stations, worked out from BMRCL’s current distance slabs – the same slabs in force across the network since 9 February 2025.

One honest note before the tables: BMRCL has not yet published the official Pink Line fare chart. The figures below are calculated from the current fare slabs that apply on the Purple, Green and Yellow lines, applied to the Pink Line’s station spacing. When BMRCL releases official fares at opening, we will update this page the same day – bookmark it rather than searching again.

How Namma Metro fares work

Namma Metro prices by distance, in slabs. On today’s slabs, a hop of 1-2 stations costs ₹10, and each slab step adds ₹10 up to the network cap of ₹90. Smart card users (and QR tickets bought through official apps) get a discount on these token fares. The full 7.5 km opening stretch from Kalena Agrahara to Tavarekere falls in the ₹30 band.

Fares to the Yellow Line: Silk Board, BTM, Electronic City

The Pink Line’s biggest payoff is the change at Jayadeva Hospital onto the Yellow Line – Bannerghatta Road finally gets a rail link to the Outer Ring Road and the Electronic City corridor with a single interchange. Because Namma Metro charges one fare for the whole journey (no separate ticket for the change), these through-fares stay modest:

Kalena Agrahara₹30₹30₹30₹40₹60₹70

Jayadeva Hospital₹10₹10₹10₹20₹50₹60
Tavarekere₹20₹10₹20₹20₹50₹60

Read that Electronic City column again: Kalena Agrahara to Electronic City for about ₹60, with one change and no Silk Board junction. That journey today is a long road trip through some of the city’s worst traffic.

Metro vs auto vs bike taxi on Bannerghatta Road

For the full 7.5 km opening stretch (Kalena Agrahara to Tavarekere), typical costs compare like this:

ModeTypical costNotes
Pink Line metro₹30 (less on smart card)Fixed price, no traffic
Bike taxi~₹60-80Surge pricing in peak traffic
Auto~₹110-150Meter + traffic time on Bannerghatta Road

Estimates based on current base fares and per-km rates; road modes rise further in peak-hour congestion, which is precisely when Bannerghatta Road is at its slowest.
