Vadapalani

Vadapalani Metro Station is an elevated station on the Green Line (Corridor 2) of Chennai Metro. It opened on 2015-06-29. Since October 2026 it is also the interchange for the new Yellow Line towards Porur and Poonamallee.

Vadapalani Metro Station — Line and Route

The Green Line runs between Chennai Central and St. Thomas Mount. From Vadapalani, the previous station is Arumbakkam and the next station is Ashok Nagar. On this line, trains run from about 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM, every 12 minutes in peak hours and 14 minutes off-peak (the Central–Alandur stretch gets extra inter-corridor trains, so effective frequency there is 6–7 minutes). Vadapalani Metro Station Entry and Exit Gates

The station has 4 entry and exit points: Gate A — towards SIMS Hospital; Gate B — towards NEXUS Mall; Gate C — towards Murugan Temple; Gate D — towards Murugan Temple.
