Chikkapette Metro Station — Green Line, Namma Metro

Chikkapette Metro Station is an underground station on the Green Line of Namma Metro in Bengaluru, at Chickpet. The Green Line runs north to south from Madavara to Silk Institute across 32 stations, linking Tumkur Road, Malleshwaram, the old city markets and Kanakapura Road. It opened on 2017-06-18.

An underground station beneath the Chickpet wholesale market, one of the busiest commercial areas in the old city, known for textiles and silk.

The station has two platforms. Platform 1 serves trains towards Madavara; Platform 2 serves trains towards Silk Institute. The Green Line interchanges with the Purple Line at Nadaprabhu Kempegowda (Majestic) and with the Yellow Line at Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road for Electronic City.

The station has 4 entry and exit points: Gate A — Towards Manivartapete (Sultanpete) side; Gate B — Towards KR Market side; Gate C — Towards Sultanpete side; Gate D — Towards Manivartapete side.

Green Line services run from about 5:00 am on weekdays and Saturdays and 7:00 am on Sundays, with the last train at about 11:00 pm. Trains run every 4 to 4.5 minutes at peak and every 7 to 8 minutes off peak. BMRCL notes that additional trains may be run from selected intermediate stations when travel demand rises, and that train times can change for planned works.
