Peenya Industry Metro Station — Green Line, Namma Metro

Peenya Industry Metro Station is an elevated station on the Green Line of Namma Metro in Bengaluru, at Peenya Industrial Area. The Green Line runs north to south from Madavara to Silk Institute across 32 stations, linking Tumkur Road, Malleshwaram, the old city markets and Kanakapura Road. It opened on 2014-03-01.

The station serves the Peenya industrial estate, one of the largest industrial areas in South Asia. Peenya Industry is one of the few Namma Metro stations with three tracks — a side platform and an island platform — rather than the usual two. Platform 3 runs short-turn services towards Yelachenahalli and operates during peak hours only, which lets BMRCL add capacity on the southern half of the Green Line without running every train the full length of the corridor.

The station has three platforms across two levels. Platform 1 serves trains towards Madavara; Platform 2 serves trains towards Silk Institute; Platform 3 runs peak-hour short-turn services towards Yelachenahalli and is not in use outside peak windows. The Green Line interchanges with the Purple Line at Nadaprabhu Kempegowda (Majestic) and with the Yellow Line at Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road for Electronic City.

Peenya Industry Metro Station Timings

Green Line services run from about 5:00 am on weekdays and Saturdays and 7:00 am on Sundays, with the last train at about 11:00 pm. Trains run every 4 to 4.5 minutes at peak and every 7 to 8 minutes off peak. BMRCL notes that additional trains may be run from selected intermediate stations when travel demand rises, and that train times can change for planned works.
