The Namma Metro Purple Line is the backbone of Bengaluru’s metro network, connecting the eastern IT corridor of Whitefield to the western residential and industrial zones like Challaghatta.

Development & Expansion
The Purple Line was developed in multiple phases:
- Phase I: Covered the central and underground sections including MG Road and City Railway Station
- Phase II: Extended the line to Challaghatta (west) and Whitefield (east), fully operational by 2023
