Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road Metro Station

Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road aka RV Road is an elevated interchange metro station on the North-South corridor of the Green Line and the East-West corridor of the upcoming Yellow Line of Namma Metro. The station has been  functional and active for green since June 2017, it is expected to commence operation on the yellow line from December 2024.

The RV Road metro station has been serving the 5th and 8th Block of Jayanagar area of Bangalore, India. After the opening of the yellow line, it will be an interchange metro station between the green and yellow lines connecting the East-West corridors of Bengaluru.

While commuting on the green line, step onto Platform 1, and you’ll be heading towards Nagasandra with Jayanagar  as the next stop. On Platform 2, the trains will take you directly to Silk Institute, with Banashankari Metro Station as the next stop. While commuting on the yellow line heads towards Bommasandra with Ragigudda as the next stop. The second stop, Jayadeva Hospital is an interchange station connecting you to the Pink Line. 

The station’s location is a commuter’s delight, surrounded by well-connected bus stops like Jayanagara 40 CRS and 8th Block Jayanagara. Nearby, you’ll discover popular dining spots such as Appu Thindi Adda, Shetty Lunch Home, Vishranti Bhavan, Alchemy Coffee Roasters, and Milano Ice Cream, perfect for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. For a tranquil escape, head to the serene Ranadheera Kanteerava Park, Yediyur Lake, Shri Doddabasavanna Temple, or the lush Lalbagh Botanical Garden, all within a 4 km radius.

With fare ranging from Rs. 10 to Rs. 60, and trains running from 5 am to 11 pm, it caters to both early risers and night owls. While details about parking, feeder buses, and restrooms are still being finalized, the promise of enhanced connectivity and convenience is clear.
