Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road Metro Station — Interchange Station, Namma Metro

Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road Metro Station is an elevated interchange station on Namma Metro in Bengaluru, serving the Green Line and the Yellow Line. It opened on 2017-06-18.

RV Road has been operational on the Green Line since June 2017. It became an interchange on 11 August 2025 when the Yellow Line opened, connecting Electronic City, Bommasandra and the Hosur Road corridor to the rest of the network for the first time.

Changing Lines at Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road Metro Station

RV Road is the northern terminus of the Yellow Line and an intermediate station on the Green Line. It is currently the only working interchange on the Yellow Line, which makes it the gateway between Electronic City and the rest of the network. Every Yellow Line journey towards the city centre involves changing here — for Majestic, MG Road or Whitefield, change to the Green Line and then again at Majestic.

Namma Metro’s working interchanges today are Nadaprabhu Kempegowda (Majestic) between the Purple and Green Lines, and Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road between the Green and Yellow Lines. Further interchanges are built or planned at Mahatma Gandhi Road (Pink), Jayadeva Hospital (Pink), Central Silk Board (Blue), Nagawara (Blue) and Peenya (Orange), none of which are in service yet.
