Egmore Metro Station is an underground station on the Green Line (Corridor 2) of Chennai Metro. It opened on 2018-05-25.

Egmore Metro Station — Line and Route

The Green Line runs between Chennai Central and St. Thomas Mount. From Egmore, the previous station is Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central and the next station is Nehru Park. On this line, trains run from about 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM, every 12 minutes in peak hours and 14 minutes off-peak (the Central–Alandur stretch gets extra inter-corridor trains, so effective frequency there is 6–7 minutes). Egmore Metro Station Entry and Exit Gates

The station has 5 entry and exit points: Gate A — towards Egmore Railway station; Gate A — towards Egmore Railway station; Gate B — towards Dina Thanthi.
