Dairy Circle Metro Station — Pink Line, Namma Metro

Dairy Circle Metro Station is an underground station on the Pink Line of Namma Metro in Bengaluru, at Dairy Circle, Hosur Road. The Pink Line runs 21.25 km from Kalena Agrahara in the south to Nagawara in the north across 18 stations — six elevated along Bannerghatta Road and twelve underground through central Bengaluru, the longest underground stretch on the network. The line has not yet opened to passengers.

Dairy Circle is the first underground station on the Pink Line, beneath the Dairy Circle flyover where Bannerghatta Road meets Hosur Road. This is the point at which the line transitions from elevated to underground for its run beneath central Bengaluru, and it is one of the junctions the Pink Line is specifically designed to help commuters avoid.

Dairy Circle Metro Station Opening Date

This station is on the underground Phase 2 section — 13.76 km and twelve stations from Dairy Circle to Nagawara, the longest underground stretch on the Namma Metro network. BMRCL is targeting December 2026. Tunnelling finished in December 2024; track, signalling and platform screen door installation followed, and platform screen doors have been tested at Mahatma Gandhi Road. Treat December 2026 as a target rather than a commitment — Phase 1 has already slipped four times.

The previous station is Tavarekere Metro Station and the next is Lakkasandra Metro Station. Once open, Dairy Circle will put Bannerghatta Road roughly 25 minutes from the city centre, against a road journey that regularly takes far longer at peak times. The Pink Line will interchange with the Yellow Line at Jayadeva Hospital and with the Purple Line at Mahatma Gandhi Road, and Nagawara is planned as a future interchange with the Blue Line towards Kempegowda International Airport.

Dairy Circle Metro Station Timings

First and last train timings for Dairy Circle Metro Station have not been published. When services begin, BMRCL has indicated Pink Line trains will run from about 5:30 am to 11:00 pm, with 5 to 7 minute frequencies at peak and 8 to 12 minutes off-peak, matching the Purple and Green Lines. These figures are BMRCL projections and have not been confirmed in a published timetable. We will publish verified per-direction times here once BMRCL releases the timetable.
